<VulnDiscussion>Display of the DOD-approved use notification before granting access to the network device ensures privacy and security notification verbiage used is consistent with applicable federal laws, Executive Orders, directives, policies, regulations, standards, and guidance. System use notifications are required only for access via logon interfaces with human users. The banner is retained until acknowledgement by default when the banner is selected in the sign-in policy. Remediation - Manual Procedure
Configure ICS to present a DOD-approved banner that is formatted in accordance with DTM-08-060. Do not alter the text or format. Configure */admin/ (or whatever custom URL is used for CAC/PKI token admin access) with a sign-in notice.
In the ICS Web UI, navigate to Authentication >> Signing In >> Sign-In Notifications.
1. Click "New Notification".
2. For name, type: "DOD Notice and Consent".
