Enable support for BUG()
Medium Severity
Disabling this option eliminates support for BUG and WARN, reducing the size of your kernel image and potentially quietly ignoring numerous fatal conditions. You should only consider disabling this option for embedded systems with no facilities for reporting errors. The configuration that was used to build kernel is available at
/boot/config-*
. To check the configuration value for
CONFIG_BUG
, run the following command:
grep CONFIG_BUG /boot/config-*
For each kernel installed, a line with value "y" should be returned.
