All audit configuration files must be owned by root user.
To properly set the owner of /etc/audit/, run the command:
$ sudo chown root /etc/audit/
To properly set the owner of /etc/audit/rules.d/, run the command:
$ sudo chown root /etc/audit/rules.d/
