The macOS system must disable iCloud Document synchronization.

An XCCDF Rule

Description

<VulnDiscussion>The macOS built-in iCloud document synchronization service must be disabled to prevent organizational data from being synchronized to personal or nonapproved storage. Apple's iCloud service does not provide an organization with enough control over the storage and access of data and, therefore, automated document synchronization must be controlled by an organization approved service.</VulnDiscussion><FalsePositives></FalsePositives><FalseNegatives></FalseNegatives><Documentable>false</Documentable><Mitigations></Mitigations><SeverityOverrideGuidance></SeverityOverrideGuidance><PotentialImpacts></PotentialImpacts><ThirdPartyTools></ThirdPartyTools><MitigationControl></MitigationControl><Responsibility></Responsibility><IAControls></IAControls>
