CNSSI No. 1253: Security Categorization and Control Selection for National Security Systems

The CNSS has worked with representatives from the Civil, Defense, and Intelligence Communities, as part of the Joint Task Force Transformation Initiative Working Group (JTF) to produce a unified information security framework. The intent of this common framework is to improve information security, strengthen risk management processes, and encourage reciprocity among federal agencies.
